MEMBERSHIP REFERRAL DIRECTORY INSTRUCTIONS
Now,
here’s how the Membership Referral Directory
works.
For ICF-CT MAF
--MEMBERSHIP
ACTIVITY FEE--members,
skip right to Tier Two, which is included in your ICF-CT MAF
fee.
For
those who are not yet MAF members, we have a
two-tier fee plan, as we need to cover website posting and server
costs.
I.
Tier
One. If you are a member of the ICF but HAVE
NOT YET SUBSCRIBED TO THE "ICF-CT MAF", you may be
listed on the Directory (by name and contact information only) unless
you communicate with me and tell me you DO NOT wish to be listed.
If
you choose, you may also post your photo with the basic profile at no
charge. See Paragraph 5: "How to put an image in your
profile" below for instructions.
II.
Tier
Two, at a $50.00 cost per year, you can be listed with picture
and all of your contact information and areas of specialty. You may
also have a link to your own website, if you have one.
In addition,
MAF members, on
a random format, your picture will be one of 16 pictures that show up
on the home page in a cameo setting. (See the home page. Imagine your
picture there!)
A major advantage of the Tier Two listing is the opportunity for a
much more extensive listing in which you can provide comprehensive
information about your services, type of client desired, experience,
preparation, and certifications, as well as presentations and other
products and services offered.
PLEASE
NOTE: Filling out and updating this more extensive profile is done by
YOU—in your ‘style’ and when it’s convenient for you to do so.
Here’s
what you
do.
1. If you’re not already a member of the ICF, become a member. Here’s
the link that will take you to the ICF site to sign up and become a
member: http://www.coachfederation.org/
That
will automatically make you a member of this Chapter and eligible for
this Membership benefit.
After
we receive confirmation of your ICF membership (ICF reports monthly)
your basic information will be entered into the directory, just as you
provided it to ICF.
2.
If
you are a member and if you choose Tier One, your basic information
will be entered into the directory. If you choose to add a photo you will need to:
a) Click on your name in the directory.
This will take you to your page listing your basic information.
At the top of the page, click on "edit your listing”.
b) A sign-in page should appear.
Your username is your email address, your password is your ICF
number.
c) The form will contain the name, address and phone numbers you
provided ICF. Please make
any corrections. Continue down the form until you get to the heading
that says "image." Click on the instructions to paste a
photo into your listing. (For additional pasting instructions see
Paragraph #5 below).
PLEASE
NOTE: YOU CAN ONLY PASTE A PHOTO THAT IS ALREADY ON SOME
WEBSITE. IF YOU
DO NOT ALREADY HAVE A PHOTO ON A WEBSITE, YOU WILL NEED TO
EMAIL ME AN ATTACHMENT WITH A PHOTO.
This must be sent to me (at the email address below) in a jpeg
format for inclusion on the website. It should be about 150
pixels wide and 185 pixels high. Some flexibility is OK. The
resolution on the picture should be at least 72 pixels per
inch (known as dpi or ppi). |
d) After
your photo has been transferred to our chapter's photo page, YOU will
be able to paste it into your listing by following the instructions in
the form.
e) The
ICF-CT photo page address is: http://www.icf-ct.com/websitepictures.htm
f) This Directory
functions on the honor system. There is no charge for your Tier One
listing, inclusive of all the information down to and including the
"Image" line on the form.

$50.00 to become a Tier Two member. OR BETTER YET, PAY THE $75.00
MAF FEE THAT ENTITLES YOU TO TIER 2 PLUS ALL OF OUR CHAPTER EVENTS

3.
If you choose Tier Two,
a)
write out a check to the ICF-CT Chapter, Inc. for $50.00 and send it to our Treasurer,: Mark
D'Ambrosio, at 18 Meadowood Lane, Old Saybrook, CT 06475-1849;
b)
Follow the instructions for completing Tier
One
membership for the directory. Once you've paid the annual
website
$50.00
fee,
or the MAF $75.00 fee,
you have authority to complete the data page beyond the photo listing.
4.
Go
to the directory on our website and look at the other entries to get
some ideas of what you would like in your listing, and then complete
the balance of the input form and describe your
areas of specialty.
5.
To upload your photo, follow these directions:
How to put an image in your profile
a. First, your image must be displayed somewhere on the web (on your
site, on some gallery site, or the ICF-CT photo page;

b. Go to that image on the web.
c. Put your cursor on top of the image.
d. Right click on the image. (On PCs in Internet Explorer)

A menu will pop up. Click on "Properties," at the bottom of the menu

A new menu, entitled "Properties" will pop up |

g. Place your cursor on the line of text next to the left hand
menu entitled Address:(URL)

h. Highlight
the full line of text starting with http://
|
|
i.
Right click on this text. |
|
 |
|
j. From the menu click on: "select all"
|
|
k. Right click again and select "copy"
|
|
l. Return to the input page.
Put your cursor In the text box next to the left hand
menu that says "image"
|
|
m. Right click in the box.
Click on “paste”.
The URL for the photo should now be pasted into the
box.

|
n. Go to the bottom of the form and click "up-date
record"
Your
photo should now be pasted into your file and will show up on
the main directory and on your page.
