The
CAMFT Marketing Committee has fielded a marketing plan to raise
awareness of MFT and MFTs throughout the state of CT in the minds of: 1)
consumers, 2) referrers, 3) prospective MFT students; 4) prospective
employers, and friends and family of each.
The CAMFT Marketing Committee has four
teams, working on four projects (for detailsl, see below):
1. Writer's Bureau
2. Toll Free Telephone Referral Service
3. Direct Mail Campaign to Referral Sources
4. CAMFT Website (www.ctamft.com)
Marketing
is THE way that any organization takes its message to its target
market.
The CAMFT marketing plan is a cohesive, integrated plan that
reaches
consumers and referrers
throughout the state of Connecticut.
-
The CAMFT Website gives both our
referrers and prospective clients
the further information they need
to realize how effective marriage
and family therapy is, and to choose an MFT.
-
The brochures and letters and directories with CAMFT member contact information
that we send out in our Direct
Mail campaign inform our
major referrers why and how they should
refer to local MFTs.
The Writer’s
Bureau offers our members templates of currently ‘hot’
articles that they can adjust to their own writing style and place in
their local newspapers to gain greater awareness in their communities.
Each
component supports the others, interwoven into an integrated,
comprehensive marketing plan.

1. CAMFT
Writer's Bureau
The
articles, with links on this page, have been written, researched, sourced and presented by
the CAMFT Marketing Committee Writer's Bureau Team, specifically, Tom
Zampano.
They are
offered to CAMFT members to use as 'templates' for gaining PR awareness.
Please feel free to take these 'hot topic' articles and add your own
style, by rewriting them as you choose. Then send them to your local
newspapers and marketing outlets to raise awareness of your own practice
in MFT as well as of MFT in general.

2. Toll Free Telephone Referral Service
The
Toll Free Telephone Referral Service was designed to help the
Connecticut consumer find those CAMFT members who offer clinical
services to the public. The way the service works is: the consumer
receives the toll free number by reading a Yellow Pages advertisement or
a CAMFT marketing brochure, accessing our website or from their favorite
referrer (clergy, physician, EAP, friend). They call the number and
reach an operator who is trained to ask specific questions to make a
match with three participating CAMFT members.

more information about how to become part of this referral
service,
